1. A defensive lineman's role within the team concept.
a. Football is a team game.
1. A defensive lineman as an individual player must be willing to sacrifice in order to win as a team.
2. As a coach promote a positive attitude with your defensive line - play with and exemplify a positive attitude. Positive attitudes are contagious, if you, as an individual, and your group as a defensive line, exemplify a positive attitude, before long your team will exemplify a positive attitude. Believe it!!!
3. Talk having an outstanding team to your players, promote each players role on the team, and as the season progresses their role will become much clearer. It is your defensive lineman's responsibility to do everything physically and mentally possible to be successful within their role and the team concept.
