🏈Special Teams mantra is "We need ya!"
🏈You have to have your best players on punt. It is the only play in football that players have to play both offense (blocking) and defense (coverage)
🏈Operation times FBS 1.95 seconds or less, High School 2.10 seconds or less.
🏈Leverage Chase: If the ball is to me, I want to keep it inside. If the ball is away from me, I want to chase.
🏈Coach likes 2-yard splits between the five linemen. A good estimate is if the players can barely touch fingers with their arms outstretched. The alignment is flexed with the guard's and tackle's helmets breaking the snapper's beltline. He wants them off as much as possible so that they can see what's coming.
🏈The alignment for the shield players is 8 yards off the LOS. Left and right shield players have their inside foot on the long snapper's inside foot. Middle protector aligns in a hings position behind the left or right shield.
